The Tortello armchair, conceived by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby for B&B Italia, stands out for its monolithic and captivating design.

The structure, made of recycled polyethylene through rotational molding, takes the form of a tray with a trapezoidal base, supporting a comfortable elastomeric mattress. The upper part, upholstered in fabric with a distinctive “pinched” stitching, offers a soft and enveloping volume.

This armchair embodies B&B Italia’s philosophy of responsible production, using advanced technologies and cutting-edge materials such as expanded polyurethane and thermoplastic elastomers. Despite the reduced use of polyurethane, the structure ensures optimal comfort thanks to precise construction techniques. The modularity and adhesive-free assembly allow the Tortello armchair to be completely disassembled and easily recyclable. Ideal for contemporary environments and modern living spaces.
