B&B Italia Sofas Le Bambole McCartney

The collaboration between Stella McCartney and B&B Italia has given rise to the new Le Bambole sofa collection, designed by Mario Bellini.

These sofas, unveiled during Milan Design Week 2022, celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Le Bambole series. Made with a “Fungi Forest” fabric, hand-drawn from Stella McCartney’s Summer 2022 collection, they are an ode to sustainability.

This collaboration combines McCartney’s creative flair with Bellini’s passion for design. In addition to its captivating aesthetic, the Le Bambole sofa has been designed to be fully disassembled, facilitating repairs and responsible use of materials.

The green upholstery, developed internally by B&B Italia’s research and development team, is made entirely of biodegradable polyester, free from harmful substances, and does not release microplastics into the environment. These sofas embody the brand’s sustainable innovation and can elegantly adapt to various environments, complementing both contemporary and traditional styles.
