Cappellini Sideboards Dinah

The vertical Dinah sideboard by Cappellini, designed by Shiro Kuramata in 1970, is an icon of contemporary design and part of the permanent collection at New Yorks MoMA.This slender, sculptural chest features 18 lacquered white wooden drawers arranged on both sides of the structure. The frame, made of matte black painted metal and crafted through laser cutting, expresses a precise balance between form and function.

Produced in a numbered series, Dinah is a tangible expression of Kuramatas creative language, blending rigor with poetry. Perfect for modern and eclectic spaces, it fits ideally in studios, living rooms, and entryways where it discreetly takes center stage. With this project, Cappellini reaffirms its ongoing commitment to celebrating iconic designer pieces that have made history.
