Cassina Armchairs Soriana Denim

Soriana Denim crafted by Roy Rogers for Cassina transforms the iconic armchair by Afra & Tobia Scarpa, awarded the Compasso dOro in 1970, into a unique piece that merges design and fashion.

The upholstery uses premium Japanese selvedge denim and long-staple American cotton woven on traditional 1960s shuttle looms, featuring the characteristic white selvedge with a red thread to prevent fraying.

Inspired by historic Roy Rogers jeans, the fabric displays hand-finished stone wash and dlav effects along the folds of the padding, while the metal bracket embracing the textile is finished in polished copper, echoing the rivets of five-pocket jeans.

The internal structure, developed by Cassina LAB, consists of BioFoam microsphere bags, a biodegradable material, and the padding is made with recycled PET fibre, ensuring both comfort and sustainability. Ideal for living rooms or contemporary lounge spaces.
